Getronics Roll Out Windows 7 for One of Europe’s Top Business Schools

Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, one of Belgium’s leading business schools, needed a future-ready, user-friendly operating system that could better support its users and keep pace with modern technology. Its aging Windows XP and Office 2007 environment was struggling to meet demands from students and staff, especially for device access and newer applications, so Vlerick turned to Getronics for a Windows 7 workspace solution.

Getronics conducted a workshop and detailed analysis, then rolled out Windows 7 alongside Microsoft Office 2010 in a carefully planned implementation. The project went smoothly, with the new environment installed in just 4 days; 200 workstations were migrated, most existing applications were integrated, and both the Gent and Leuven campuses successfully moved to the new platform, improving speed, usability, and remote access through Direct Access.
