A Getronics Case Study
AGS Airports, the operator of Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, faced the challenge of separating from Heathrow Holdings and building a new, unified IT infrastructure across all three sites with minimal disruption to airport operations. It needed a partner with airport and M&A transition experience, and Getronics was selected to provide the IT support services and act as an extension of the AGS team.
Getronics implemented a five-year, two-phase separation program covering service desk, telephony, on-site engineering, and later WAN/LAN networking, plus a project office for future IT initiatives. Getronics moved AGS onto a robust support model on time and on budget, kept services stable, and helped improve end-user satisfaction, while also making AGS more responsive to customers.
