Getronics Implements a Future-Ready Workspace for the Cbi

CBI 1, the Confederation of British Industry, needed to completely re-engineer its ICT infrastructure to support a more adaptable, accessible business environment. The organization wanted to move away from Lotus Notes and introduce a web portal for easier access to CRM, HR, and finance applications. Getronics was brought in to design and implement the new environment using its Future-Ready Workspace approach.

Getronics delivered a full migration to a new platform and operating system, replacing Lotus Notes with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Outlook and adding Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration and mobile working. The solution also included a corporate file plan, consistent page templates, records management policy, and VPN access. As a result, CBI 1 improved navigation to member resources, increased productivity, strengthened content and workflow management, and enabled greater mobility for staff working remotely.
