Getronics Enjoys Higher Productivity and Increased Mobility with Windows 8

Getronics, an ICT services provider and Microsoft Gold Partner, wanted practical experience with Microsoft’s latest operating system before recommending it to customers. To address this challenge, Getronics joined the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program and tested Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 in its production environment across employees’ laptops, desktops, and tablets.

With Microsoft’s Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, Getronics migrated 350 devices and began building in-house apps to support mobile workers and the New World of Work. The result was higher productivity, greater mobility and flexibility, easier device management, and lower costs, and Getronics is now prepared to roll out Windows 8 companywide and use its experience to support customer projects.
