A Getronics Case Study
Sevenoaks District Council needed to replace an ageing, costly-to-maintain PABX system serving about 450 users across two sites. The council wanted a unified communications platform that would improve collaboration, support flexible working, reduce telephony costs, and keep service levels high; Getronics provided the Microsoft Skype for Business solution.
Getronics implemented a Skype for Business-based unified communications platform, integrating legacy analogue and digital telephony, emergency lift phones, the neighbouring authority’s Mitel system, and a Netcall Contact Centre via Direct SIP. The result was stronger collaboration, improved public interaction, and the ability for staff to work effectively from anywhere; Sevenoaks also cut travel and licensing costs, and Getronics delivered the project on time and on budget.
