Getronics Belux to Perform it Carve-Out of Smurfit Kappa, Now Rebranded Solidus

Solidus Solutions, a company producing paper-based packaging solutions, faced the complex challenge of carving out its IT infrastructure after being divested from Smurfit Kappa. They needed to establish a completely new, centralized data center and migrate their data securely within a very tight seven-month deadline. Getronics was appointed to perform this IT carve-out and provide a new, state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure to support their operations.

Getronics implemented a solution that included a new primary data center and a backup facility in Groningen, replacing the previous decentralized servers. The solution featured virtualization, a new active directory system, two-factor authentication for secure remote access, and a migration to Microsoft Office 365. This future-proof infrastructure provided by Getronics enabled seamless collaboration across Solidus Solutions' international sites and successfully supported 800 users, fulfilling the project's tight schedule and strategic objectives.
