ING, the global financial services company, faced the end of Windows XP support and needed to migrate more than 10,000 users across desktops and laptops to Windows 7 and Office 2010 within a tight timeframe. Getronics was chosen to manage the workspace migration and onsite end-user support, while keeping business disruption to a minimum.
Getronics implemented a structured migration process with weekly planning, go/no-go approvals, staging, desk-side swaps, and multilingual floorwalkers to assist users in Dutch, French, and English. The result was a smooth and efficient rollout that let employees resume work immediately after upgrades without data backup or transfer, improved business continuity, reduced Service Desk calls, and delivered the project on a cost-effective per-completion basis.
