E.Gulbja Laboratory uses Identity Verification for contactless COVID test kits

E.Gulbja Laboratory, a leading medical laboratory in Latvia, needed a faster and more accessible way to verify customers for its contactless COVID-19 test kit stations. Its earlier e-banking-based approach limited access because not all customers had local bank accounts, creating a need for a broader identity verification solution. GetID provided the identity verification platform used to solve this challenge.

With GetID’s Web SDK, E.Gulbja Laboratory implemented ID document verification, facial similarity, and liveness checks so customers could verify themselves with an ID card or passport before receiving a PIN code for the test kit station. The integration took less than two weeks, verification time dropped to about 3 minutes, and the majority of customers are now verified automatically.
