United Way of Greater Rochester Supercharges COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution with Get Connected

United Way of Greater Rochester needed a faster, more organized way to recruit and manage volunteers for the Finger Lakes Region’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout. After previously using spreadsheets for volunteer coordination, the organization turned to Get Connected by Galaxy Digital to support a rapidly growing Vaccine Volunteer Force and streamline a complex, urgent public health effort.

Get Connected by Galaxy Digital launched a dedicated, standalone volunteer site that centralized registration, scheduling, custom data capture, reporting, and volunteer sorting by skill and location. The site went live within a week, filled 170 shifts in four weeks, and helped nearly 3,000 volunteers register since January, enabling United Way of Greater Rochester and its partners to scale vaccination efforts quickly and efficiently.
