Non-Profit Legal Organization Embraces Mobility, Security, and Flexibility Within Their Own Private Cloud

The Immigration Center for Women and Children is a California non-profit legal organization with four offices that has served more than 5,000 women and children. Faced with aging in‑house servers, costly hardware replacements, vulnerable backups, and a growing need for real‑time collaboration across locations, ICWC’s internal IT support was consumed by daily troubleshooting instead of strategic work. To address this, ICWC partnered with CARET and migrated to CARET’s private cloud service, Abacus Private Cloud™, to gain mobility, security, and a uniform system across all offices.

CARET implemented a full migration to Abacus Private Cloud™, installing necessary applications (including AbacusLaw), moving confidential data to NIST‑standard storage, and providing managed automatic backups. As a result, ICWC immediately gained faster, more responsive access to centralized files and client data across all four offices, eliminated many hardware and routine IT expenses, freed their IT technician to handle on‑site setup instead of server maintenance, and improved overall efficiency and scalability for future growth.
