Case Study: Getty Dubay brings handwriting learning to mobile with Germinate

Getty Dubay launches a tablet-and-stylus handwriting app in just a few months with Germinate

The customer, Getty Dubay, faced the challenge of transforming its unique handwriting curriculum into a digital app amidst a crowded market. They needed to ensure stylus responsiveness and maintain performance across different platforms. Jonathan Dubay partnered with the vendor, Germinate, to digitize the "Write Now" workbook into a tablet application.

Germinate developed the app using Flutter for rapid development, prioritizing a fast screen refresh for the stylus and a seamless user experience. The solution stayed true to the original book's design and successfully brought the first book of the program to life. The app is now available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
