A GEP Case Study
A major U.S. water processing and technology company with more than $5 billion in annual revenue and operations in nearly 160 countries needed to standardize purchasing and gain enterprise-wide spend visibility. Procurement data was fragmented across 23 legacy ERPs, local-currency reports and spreadsheets on SharePoint, limiting savings tracking, contract control and overall procurement governance.
The company deployed GEP SMART, a cloud-native, AI-powered source-to-pay platform, to centralize spend analysis, savings tracking, sourcing, contract and supplier management, and procure-to-pay workflows. The rollout migrated thousands of spend and savings projects, supported sourcing in multiple languages and local currencies, and standardized processes across 78 business units—resulting in over $2 billion in spend processed, $500 million of spend brought under management, more than $40 million in savings over three years and centralized management of roughly 30,000 contracts.
