A GEP Case Study
A U.S.-based telecom company with $2.1 billion in annual revenue and about 5,000 employees aimed to modernize procurement to boost efficiency, increase spend visibility, and bring more spend under management. The organization needed end-to-end sourcing, supplier and contract management, automated classification of large data volumes, and seamless integration with three legacy ERP systems.
GEP implemented its cloud-native GEP SMART platform across six business units for roughly 1,500 users, integrating in real time with the client’s three ERPs and migrating ~9,000 suppliers to a unified system. The platform now serves as a central repository for more than 10,000 suppliers and 8,000+ contracts, enabled automated data flows and simplified catalog use, and helped analyze about $7.3 billion in spend over three years—delivering greater visibility, control, compliance and procurement efficiency.
