A GEP Case Study
A leading U.S. restaurant chain with about $11 billion in annual revenue and roughly 95,000 suppliers faced poor enterprise-wide spend visibility and fragmented supplier data across multiple ERPs (Armada, Oracle, Check Writer). The company needed a procurement platform to consolidate suppliers, cleanse and enrich supplier data—especially for direct materials vendors—bring more spend under management, reduce risk and drive cost savings.
The chain deployed GEP SMART to aggregate and enrich spend data, customize taxonomy, normalize supplier records and establish an approval workflow and onboarding campaign. The program reduced supplier duplication (cutting the list to ~75,000), onboarded 600+ suppliers, delivered >95% spend-data accuracy, enabled a cross-suite dashboard and annual supplier scorecard, sped quarterly refreshes to about five days, and improved supplier control, compliance and operational efficiency.
