Proof of Concept Has Demonstrated That Kartotrak Can Provide Key Information to a Project Manager for Better Risk Management

Nuvia Process, France, worked with Geovariances to evaluate how geostatistics could improve radiologically contaminated soil characterization. The challenge was to make sure the analysis output would be compatible with Nuvia Process’s georeferenced equipment before using the Kartotrak workflow on real data.

Geovariances carried out a guided evaluation of Kartotrak on a real dataset, allowing Nuvia Process to georeference base maps, compare sampling campaigns, validate data, analyze spatial structures, and produce estimation and risk-analysis maps. The result showed that Kartotrak could do more than place points on a map by generating uncertainty maps, contamination-threshold risk maps, and surface-risk representations that give project managers key information for better risk management, leading Nuvia Process to train a team member on the tool.
