ISYmap, a French start-up, needed a way to measure and map radiation in unsafe areas while keeping operators at a distance and generating a reliable map in no more than two clicks. They turned to Geovariances and its geostatistical expertise to find a proven interpolation approach, especially kriging, that could fit into their GLOBall system.

Geovariances developed QuickMap, a geostatistics-based library embedded in GLOBall to automate mapping and variogram fitting. The result was fast, reliable map production in about 2 minutes, along with uncertainty maps and optimized operator routes that reduce dose exposure and mission time, with routes still adjustable manually if needed.
