Beicip-Franlab - Customer Case Study

Beicip-Franlab, a French oil and gas consulting company, needed a way to run connectivity analysis on very large seismic attribute volumes for fracture network and matrix characterization. They used Geovariances’ Isatis, especially the Grid Operator feature, to process seismic data at scale.

Geovariances’ Isatis Grid Operator was used to apply erosion, label connected components, filter out noise, and visualize the fault network in 3D before exporting results to interpretation systems. The solution enabled Beicip-Franlab to complete connectivity analysis on seismic volumes of up to 2 billion cells in about half an hour, versus several hours with other software, helping them fully identify fracturing volumes.
