Case Study: Airparif achieves faster, more accurate daily air quality mapping with Isatis by Geovariances

A Geovariances Case Study

Preview of the Airparif Case Study

Airparif uses Isatis to process 11 million+ mesh grids and generate daily air quality maps

Airparif, part of the French air-quality monitoring network, needed a way to make its pollution maps more realistic by assimilating station measurements with modeling outputs, while also automating frequent forecasts and handling very large datasets. The organization turned to Geovariances and its Isatis geostatistics software to support these data-processing and mapping needs.

Geovariances implemented Isatis multivariate kriging and batch workflow capabilities so Airparif could integrate auxiliary data, run automated shell-based processes, and generate daily air quality maps on grids of more than 10 million cells. The result was faster production, improved map quality, and a workflow that Airparif uses daily across multiple licenses, with Isatis also supporting special analyses such as pollution trend studies and threshold-exceedance forecasting.
