A GeothinQ Case Study
The Landings Association, a property owners’ association for the planned community of The Landings on Skidaway Island near Savannah, needed a fast way to assess and categorize storm damage after Tropical Storm Hermine caused an EF1 tornado and structural damage across private properties. Working with GeothinQ, the association used its lot layer and mobile data collection tools to track damage in real time while respecting resident privacy.
GeothinQ helped The Landings Association survey hard-hit areas on iPads, update individual lot features, and centralize damage data for ongoing reconstruction tracking. The solution enabled TLA to document 55 damaged private properties after Hermine, monitor restoration permits and recovery progress over time, and then quickly reassess a much larger impact when Hurricane Matthew later caused structural damage to more than 400 homes.
