Preview of the Grupo Cabify Case Study

Vecttor (Grupo Cabify), the challenge to monitor and improve the operations of a 3,000-vehicle fleet aiming for carbon-neutralit

Vecttor, the Grupo Cabify subsidiary that operates over 3,000 VTC vehicles across five Spanish cities, needed better visibility to scale efficiently and meet ambitious carbon‑neutrality and safety targets. Their main operational challenges were reducing empty vehicle time to lower passenger wait and driver downtime, cutting fuel use and emissions as the fleet electrifies, and understanding driving patterns to improve safety and training.

Vecttor paired Cabify data with Geotab telematics (GO9 devices and Cloud‑to‑Cloud EV integration) to capture real driving hours, optimize vehicle radius and routes, reserve nearby charging, and enable collision reconstruction. The program cut fuel consumption by 2–3% per vehicle—saving an estimated 14,000–18,000 liters monthly (over €200,000/year)—reduced CO2 by more than 20 tonnes per year, and delivered rich safety insights and incident evidence to improve driver behavior and passenger protection.
