Gnewt (Green New Transport), part of Menzies Distribution, operates the UK’s largest fully electric last-mile delivery fleet out of London, handling roughly 10 million parcels over the past decade with a 70-vehicle, mixed-OEM fleet. Its challenge was competing with established diesel operators while working within limited depot power (initially only about 30–35 vehicles could be fully charged per day) and needing a platform to scale charging, manage state of charge, and support future innovation.

By integrating Geotab’s telematics and APIs with on-site charging infrastructure, Gnewt gained real-time, vehicle-agnostic visibility of charging status and battery health, enabling intelligent load management, V2G use, and energy trading plans. The platform increased daily charging capacity to as many as 80 vehicles, optimized vehicle utilization, and delivered significant emissions reductions and hundreds of thousands of emission-free miles, making the operation more scalable and commercially viable.
