Geotab Drive and Kyocera navigate a new era of connected transportation

Success Logistics, part of the Success NationaLease network, needed a cost-effective, durable Android solution to replace expensive AOBRDs and reliably run the Geotab Drive app. The fleet required a large, easy-to-use screen that worked with gloves or wet hands, long battery life, and a device tough enough to withstand drops, extreme temperatures, dust and water during long hours on the road.

The company deployed Kyocera DuraForce XD rugged smartphones paired with Geotab Drive, delivering a 5.7" glove- and wet-capable touchscreen, MIL‑STD‑810G protection, waterproofing, loud speakers and a 3,700mAh battery. The rollout provided significant cost savings versus AOBRDs, improved driver usability and durability, and is being recommended across the organization with plans to expand features like Push‑To‑Talk and enhanced navigation.
