D&H Transportation Cutting costs with E L D  and weigh station bypasses

D&H Transportation, a Yuba City, California carrier operating 23 tractors and about 200 trailers across interstate flatbed and intrastate bulk routes, needed to streamline operations, compliance and driver workflow while reducing time lost to weigh station stops and labor-intensive paperwork. Managing a diverse fleet with limited staff made efficient logging, maintenance tracking and IFTA reporting top priorities.

By integrating Geotab’s ELD, Drive app and GO device with the PrePass weigh station bypass app, D&H enabled single sign-on, eliminated transponders, and gained remote diagnostics and fast IFTA reporting (from a week to about five minutes). Over an 8.5-month period the fleet recorded ~300 bypasses, saving roughly 25 hours of driving time and about $2,400 in fuel, while improving safety, driver satisfaction and on-time deliveries.
