Case Study: Cardinal Couriers achieves real-time operational visibility and reduced downtime with Geotab

A Geotab Case Study

Cardinal Couriers Using telematics to increase operational visibility

Cardinal Couriers, a Mississauga-based pre-8 a.m. B2B delivery fleet of about 135 Class 5 and Class 8 vehicles operating across Ontario and Quebec, needed better real-time visibility into driver locations and vehicle health to meet tight delivery windows, reduce costly downtime, and introduce an easy-to-use system for a workforce with varied tech comfort levels.

They rolled out Geotab GO devices and the Geotab PRO platform across 10 terminals, adding ELD, DVIR, collision reconstruction and Pitstop predictive maintenance via Geotab Marketplace and APIs. The straightforward implementation delivered real-time alerts, prioritized fault codes and BI integration, improving uptime, cutting maintenance and legal costs (via collision-reconstruction evidence), reducing unnecessary mechanic visits, and lowering idle-related fuel waste.
