Actemium Making the Case for EVs and Improving Driver Behaviour

Actemium UK (Coventry), part of VINCI Energies and specialist in EV charging and industrial electrical projects, needed to justify transitioning its small fleet from petrol/diesel to electric while improving safety and cutting operating costs. The business sought clear evidence that EVs lower emissions and total cost of ownership, plus a way to monitor and change driver behaviour (speeding, harsh braking/acceleration, seat‑belt use), after a previous telematics system proved too limited.

After piloting options, Actemium implemented Geotab for real‑time vehicle, battery and engine data, custom reporting and the Driver Challenge app to engage staff. Within months the company saw measurable improvements in driver behaviour, reduced emissions and fuel costs (enough to fund driver rewards), strong employee engagement and confidence to scale the approach across other business units as part of its EV transition plan.
