A GeoPal Case Study
Wexford County Council, a local authority in Ireland, needed a faster and more reliable way to handle surveys, risk assessments, inspections, and issue resolution across its Environment, Sewerage, and Housing Departments. Using a mix of paper-based and IT processes created delays in returning paperwork, collating photos, and responding to legal queries, so the council looked for a mobility-focused solution with stronger scheduling and reporting capabilities.
GeoPal provided a web and mobile application for mobile forms, job dispatching, and real-time field reporting. With Android smartphones, field staff could capture photos, GPS locations, signatures, and barcode/RFID scans on site, while managers scheduled work and reviewed reports in the web system; GeoPal also integrated data into CRM and ArcGIS. The result was paperless data collection, immediate saving of verified information, and real-time reporting, with Wexford County Council reporting a 36% decrease in the time from receiving an incident call to closing it.
