Appliance Pros builds a strong foundation for growth

Appliance Pros is a Christchurch-based whiteware service and repair business launched in 2016 and led by manager Ken Mackay. With seven staff (five mobile technicians) and heavy work in rapidly growing Canterbury residential developments, the company struggled with technicians spending most of their day on the road, misplaced or incomplete worksheets, wrong parts being taken to jobs, last-minute cancellations/reschedules and disappearing work from the schedule. They needed a low-cost, cloud-based system to improve communications and scheduling as the business expanded.

Appliance Pros implemented Geo’s mobile job management software, giving real-time access to job information on any device, built-in GPS for finding customers in new subdivisions, and shared visibility so technicians can coordinate on-site help. The team adopted the platform with minimal training, built a custom quote screen integrated with Xero, and relied on Geo support as needed—resulting in smoother scheduling, fewer errors, better field coordination and a stronger foundation for growth.
