The Basauri City Council faced an outdated cadastral management system that had become technologically obsolete and unsupported, leading to operational problems and incompatibilities. Their challenge was to update this system to accurately reflect the municipality, simplify operations, and ensure integration with the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. They engaged the vendor Geograma to address these issues.

Geograma developed and implemented a new cadastral management solution consisting of a desktop application for alphanumeric data and a GIS plugin for graphical map edits. This new system automated file management and established integration gateways. The results for the Basauri City Council included an increase in property tax revenue, a decrease in the time required to add new fiscal units to the registry, and an optimization of the human resources needed for cadastral management.
