Radcliff Kentucky Police Department improves GIS data for 22,500 citizens with GeoComm

The Radcliff Kentucky Police Department partnered with GeoComm to assess and improve the GIS data used in their Emergency Communication Center. The department needed to ensure the accuracy of its geographic data to support proper emergency call routing and dispatching through its Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.

GeoComm implemented its proven assess, improve, maintain approach. The solution began with a GIS data assessment using their GIS Data Hub to identify errors and mismatches. GeoComm then improved the data by updating road centerlines, address points, and boundary layers. The project resolved data inaccuracies, ensuring public safety-grade GIS data for their CAD system and providing a solid foundation for the department's NG9-1-1 preparations.
