The City of Austin, Texas was experiencing difficulties with the spoken vehicle routing directions provided by their Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to mobile units. Their main challenge was correcting inaccurate GIS data for dual carriageway streets, which caused confusing "pinched" road segments. GeoComm completed spatial and attribute updates to the city's Road Centerline Layer, straightening the problematic road segments into parallel, "ladder-like" lines.
