A Gensler Case Study
Studio 19, a furniture retailer, faced the challenge of standing out in India's crowded market, which was dominated by large aggregators offering incoherent retail experiences. Customers were increasingly seeking a curated lifestyle destination, not just a showroom. To address this, they worked with vendor Gensler on an interior design solution for a new experience centre.
Gensler designed a 9,000-square-foot, gallery-inspired space for Studio 19 that replaced aggregation with curation. The solution featured dedicated zones for multiple brands, a neutral palette to highlight craftsmanship, and dual circulation routes for both immersive browsing and efficient navigation. The resulting Pune Experience Centre set a new standard for B2B furniture retail, providing a replicable model that is both functional for serious buyers and atmospheric enough to inspire them, successfully extending the brand's concept to new cities.
