SAY Sí Community Arts Center transforms a 100,000-square-foot warehouse with Gensler

The SAY Sí Community Arts Center, an organization empowering youth through tuition-free arts programs, partnered with the architecture and design firm Gensler to redevelop a five-acre site. Their challenge was to transform an existing 100,000-square-foot warehouse into a dynamic, integrated community arts hub that would expand their program offerings and strengthen neighborhood connections.

Gensler's solution was to renovate the large warehouse to include dedicated spaces for theater, digital arts, film, and visual arts, alongside exhibition, performance, and retail areas. The design also integrated the facility with the surrounding community through a new public green space along Apache Creek, creating opportunities for indoor/outdoor connections and social gatherings. This project by Gensler will provide SAY Sí with a significantly expanded and modernized facility to further its mission.
