Gensler's solution involved a meticulous redesign of the theatre's architectural interiors, exterior entrance, signage, and a new permanent narrative exhibit. Their approach blended Egyptian design influences with contemporary abstractions, prioritizing cultural sensitivity and inclusivity. The project was recognized with the Los Angeles Conservancy’s 2024 Chair’s Award for successfully positioning the theatre to remain a focal point for experiencing cinema history.
