La Posada at Pusch Ridge, a new senior living community in Oro Valley, Arizona, sought to create an environment that actively connected its residents with the natural landscape while providing a rich array of amenities for an active adult lifestyle. The architecture and design firm Gensler was engaged to bring this vision to life.
Gensler designed the community to fully embrace its desert setting, creating an arrival experience and dining room that visually connect to the outdoors and incorporating walking paths, butterfly gardens, and terraces facing the Catalina Mountains. The solution included a comprehensive suite of amenities such as a resort-style pool, health and wellness center, clubhouse, and dog park. By integrating the architecture with the natural environment, Gensler successfully created a community that enriches the daily life experience of its residents.
