The LA Galaxy faced the challenge of modernizing their home stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park, which is Major League Soccer's oldest soccer-specific venue. Their goal was to enhance the fan experience with upgraded seating to attract a larger audience and better serve season ticket holders. To address this, they partnered with the vendor Gensler for a comprehensive renovation.
Gensler implemented a design solution inspired by the local South Bay beach community, which included a new stadium club entry, a terrace, cabanas for a unique vantage point, and enhanced field seats to bring fans closer to the action. The results created a more vibrant and electrifying atmosphere, encouraging fans to arrive early and stay late. The renovated park will also serve as a venue for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics.
