Hudson River Trading adds 5,000-square-foot terrace with Gensler

Hudson River Trading, a quantitative trading firm, needed to expand its New York headquarters to accommodate company growth while continuing to provide a high-quality, amenity-rich experience for its employees. The firm again collaborated with the design and architecture vendor Gensler to reimagine its office environment across three new floors at 3 World Trade Center.

Gensler implemented a new headquarters that enhanced HRT's successful existing design, integrating strategic ways of working and new progressive hybrid work strategies. The solution included key social anchors like a full-service cafeteria and a bleacher stair, alongside new amenities such as game lounges, a whiskey-tasting room, a fitness center, and a 5,000-square-foot terrace. Through this project, Gensler helped further HRT’s industry-defining approach to employee experience, allowing for adaptability and continued success.
