Grand Sierra Resort, a casino and entertainment property in Reno, Nevada, faced the challenge of revitalizing its underutilized 140-acre campus. They sought to create a vibrant, year-round sports and entertainment district to meet the growing demand for shared, in-person experiences and to restore community vibrancy. They partnered with the vendor Gensler for a comprehensive master plan and architectural services.

Gensler designed a 10,000-seat arena to serve as a premier destination for concerts and University of Nevada basketball games, featuring luxury suites, hospitality clubs, and a fan zone. This project represents the largest private capital investment in Reno’s history. The solution implemented by Gensler is set to drive significant economic growth, inject new life into the city, and establish a 24/7 entertainment lifestyle district for the community.
