Equinix creates a home-away-from-home Paris office with Gensler

The customer, Equinix, faced the challenge of re-engaging its employees with the office in a post-pandemic world. Their goal was to create a workplace destination with soul and atmosphere that people would actively want to return to. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor Gensler for interior design services.

Gensler implemented a solution inspired by the Parisian context, creating a "home away from home" experience. This involved curating unique antique and repurposed objects, sourced from employees' personal memories, to bestow warmth and character throughout the office. The design by Gensler not only met Equinix's goal of creating an elegant and collaborative space but also helped meet its CSR commitments by applying circular economy principles and using locally sourced objects to reduce the workplace's carbon footprint.
