ElevateBio creates a 29,000-square-foot innovation hub with Gensler

ElevateBio, a biomedical research company, faced the challenge of attracting exceptional talent in the competitive Waltham life-sciences ecosystem. They needed a premiere, hospitality-driven workspace and laboratory facility to support their mission and culture of innovation. To address this, they enlisted the architecture and design firm Gensler.

Gensler designed a 29,000-square-foot flexible workspace and lab for ElevateBio. The solution featured seamless plug-and-play technology, collaborative areas, and oversized windows to create a connection between the lab and office environments. The impact was a workplace that fuels organizational pride and commitment among employees by showcasing their work. The project was a success, winning the 2023 IIDA New England Design Award in the Science & Research category.
