The Ayana Conference Center in Bali faced the challenge of adapting to the modern demand for business travel that is intertwined with leisure and local immersion. They needed a venue that integrated sustainable design, local cultural narratives, and flexible indoor-outdoor spaces to enhance guest well-being and accommodate hybrid meetings. They engaged the vendor Gensler for this project.

Gensler designed a solution guided by Sanga Mandala principles, creating a conference center that seamlessly blends into its natural surroundings. The design utilizes natural ventilation, expansive overhangs, a green roof, and locally sourced materials to minimize environmental impact. The result is a sustainable venue that redefines the modern meeting experience, enhancing guest well-being, fostering a deeper connection to the landscape, and setting a new standard for environmentally conscious event venues.
