A multi-national banking and financial services corporation required comprehensive test data automation for testing its data lake applications

Multi-National Banking and Financial Services Corporation needed comprehensive test data automation to validate its data lake applications across retail, commercial, investment and other banking lines in more than 40 countries. The bank issued an RFI seeking synthetic test data that could preserve referential integrity, apply complex business rules, support varied formats and volumes, and meet security, user-management and reporting requirements. GenRocket responded with its Test Data Automation solution (including GSelf-Service self‑service provisioning) and participated in a rigorous proof-of-concept to demonstrate fit.

GenRocket, working with a global IT services partner, implemented GSelf-Service features—Test Data Rules, Test Data Queries and Test Data Cases—plus enterprise user/team permissions and real-time integration engines (Socket, REST, GMUS) to integrate with the bank’s CI/CD and automation tools. The POC showed GenRocket could generate controlled insert statements, metadata-driven files and rule-based records at scale (including files of 1,000; 100,000; and 1,000,000 records), demonstrate security/audit controls and manage projects and permissions, and was selected as the bank’s test data solution.
