Atkins, a global design, engineering and project management firm, faced the challenge of automating one of the world’s most complex commercial service delivery processes to ensure consistent quality, control financial risk, and streamline approvals across multiple offices and projects. To do this they selected Genpact Cora Orchestration as their BPM platform to underpin a single Service Delivery Process (SDP) and an online i-gate portal that would coordinate bids, stage gates and project handover across disparate systems.
Genpact Cora Orchestration was used to build an integrated BPM solution that links Microsoft Dynamics CRM, JD Edwards, SharePoint, Microsoft Project Server and Oracle E‑Business Suite via web services, WCF, MSMQ and integration middleware. The i-gate implementation includes 142 forms, automated approval algorithms, 5 mandatory stage gates, two‑way CRM sync and numerous service integrations, delivering single-entry data, reduced processing costs, consistent reporting, clearer visibility of financial liabilities and a global rollout across UK & Europe, Middle East, India, North America, Australia, Hong Kong & China.
