Jersey Mike’s engages sports fans with Tailgate Trivia

Jersey Mike’s worked with Genius Sports to boost brand awareness, drive app downloads, and turn college football fans into customers during its Tailgate Tour campaign. As an official sponsor of more than 40 NCAA schools, the sandwich chain needed a digital strategy that could maximize its sponsorship rights, attract fans, and convert them into members of its MyMike’s rewards program.

Genius Sports created Tailgate Trivia, a free-to-play mobile game featuring 49 college football quizzes tied to NCAA schools and integrated with Jersey Mike’s MyMike loyalty scheme. The campaign rewarded players with offers and discounts, supported a chance to win Rose Bowl tickets, and was promoted through programmatic media and custom creative, generating over 185,000 users, more than 45 million impressions, and valuable first-party audience data for future marketing.
