Universidad de Chile scales interactive learning for 46,000 students with Genially

Universidad de Chile, one of the leading universities in Latin America, sought to revolutionize its digital learning ecosystem built on Open edX. The challenge was to move beyond static PDFs and videos to create a more active and engaging learning experience that would truly connect with its 46,000 students. They needed a solution that would provide interactivity while allowing them to maintain total platform autonomy.

The university implemented Genially to bring its digital content to life. The solution enabled the creation of interactive materials like quizzes and gamified elements, which were seamlessly integrated into their Open edX platform. As a result, Genially provided built-in tracking to monitor student progress and saw wide adoption with over 100 active accounts. Due to exponential demand from teachers, the university plans to expand to 250 licenses by 2025.
