Yacimiento Barrancas, YPF is an oil waste facility in Mendoza that needed a reliable, fully automated way to manage incoming waste, monitor environmental risks, and operate without on-site staff. Valkimia partnered with GeneXus to address this challenge by developing the VKM Yard control system, built on GeneXus technology (powered by GXportal™).

The GeneXus-based VKM Yard automates reception, control, weighing, loading/unloading and documentation with RFID vehicle identification, automated weighings, vehicle photos and self-service terminals, plus remote monitoring and immediate spill notification. As a result of the GeneXus solution, Yacimiento Barrancas, YPF has operated with no on-site staff since July 2014 and gains faster environmental response and end-to-end automated processing.
