With GeneXus, Soluciones Integrales para Empresas S.A. (SIE S.A.) creates its first intelligent home in the Province of Santa Fe

Soluciones Integrales para Empresas (SIE S.A.), an Argentine consulting firm, needed a way to tackle rising living costs and growing security concerns in the Province of Santa Fe by enabling energy savings, remote control and enhanced home security. To develop its first intelligent home system, SIE used the GeneXus development tool (powered by GXportal) to build the associated software.

Using GeneXus, SIE implemented remote control and scheduling for air conditioning and lighting to cut energy use and simulate occupancy for security, delivering immediate increases in savings, comfort and safety. The solution—built with GeneXus—was developed efficiently (one person working for three months) and produced measurable operational benefits such as reduced energy use through timed AC activation and improved home security via remote lighting control.
