Ferrovalle, one of Mexico’s largest rail terminal and multimodal operators, faced growing complexity across operations, administration and finance and needed optimized business management and automated processes to boost productivity and customer satisfaction. To address this, Ferrovalle engaged GeneXus and used a GeneXus‑based method and technological architecture to develop and consolidate roughly 70% of its operational, administrative and financial systems, including the critical Intermodal Logistics System (SLI).

With GeneXus, Ferrovalle implemented fast, customizable solutions that provide real‑time online shipment monitoring, customer access to financial data, EDI transfers, integrated invoicing and ERP financial interfaces, and business intelligence. The platform reduced capture time for container and tractor entry/exit, enabled paperless workflows in some areas, standardized loading/unloading times via web alerts, and shortened the development learning curve to about 35% of other platforms—delivering faster customer service, higher customer confidence and measurable systems consolidation.
