Tucumán - Customer Case Study

Tucumán, an Argentine province, faced fragmented, manual workflows across 60 Primary Health Care Centers and nine hospitals that produced duplications, backlogs, and unreliable data for decision-making. To centralize patient information and simplify processes the provincial government built a "Computerized Health System" using GeneXus (including GeneXus Evolution) to provide a unified, accessible record for every citizen receiving care.

Using GeneXus, Tucumán deployed a centralized server-backed system with individual health cards, digital vaccination modules and province-wide access for CAPS, hospitals and emergency services, enabling real-time follow-up and reporting. GeneXus’ agility sped development and maintenance; the registry now holds over 1.3 million patient records (about 90% of the 1.5M population), captures 2.8 million hospital appointments and 2.3 million emergency services, and has measurably improved diagnoses, continuity of care and the quality and timeliness of health management.
