Topitop, a fast-growing Peruvian textile and retail company, faced scalability limits with a mix of canned back-office software and manually developed Visual Basic tools. In 2003 they chose the GeneXus platform (including GXportal™) to replace those ad hoc systems and support their international textile, retail and export operations.

Using GeneXus, Topitop developed a robust, customized ERP and production-control suite that automates the entire order-to-production cycle—calculating supplies, processes and quotes, and handling quality assurance and export controls—while accounting remains on SAP. GeneXus’ solutions enabled Topitop to sustain dramatic growth and run a production process that controls the manufacture of about 100,000 clothing items per day.
