Summum, a leading private healthcare provider in Uruguay for more than 14 years, faced disconnected systems that forced manual data copying and urgently needed a fast, comprehensive reengineering. GeneXus addressed the challenge by customizing the K2B Health platform and deploying the GXSalud solution built on GeneXus technologies to match Summum’s specific workflows and requirements.

GeneXus implemented and extended K2B Health/GXSalud to integrate medical and business management across all departments, completing the project in about one and a half years and rolling it out company‑wide in April 2007. The all‑at‑once deployment (backed by staff training) eliminated manual data transfers, gave every workstation access to clinical and management data, and maintained — even improved — Summum’s quality of service.
